So here we have a round up of my ride or die products of 2016. These bad boys are my essentials and products you will find in my beauty bag regardless of whether I am at home or travelling. Throughout 2016, I have tried so many beauty products but little have made the repurchase list, let alone double repurchase list. Let me know if you love these products as much as I do and let me know your "Best of Beauty" products for 2016, as I am always eager to try out new products.
FALSE EYELASHES - FLEUR DE FORCE 3/4 LASHES
All my life I have never been a huge lover of false eyelashes. I love them on other people and how they look I just hate them on myself. I seem to make them look extremely cheap, have part of the eyelash hanging off 1 hour into my night out, or a continuous stabbing feeling from where the lash is too close to my eye duct.ANYWAY this all changed when I found the Fleur De Force collaboration with Eylure. They are a cute and cool ¾ lash which are designed to add fullness to the outer edge of your lashes and they do just that. Because they are 3/4 you attach them to the outer corner of your eye meaning the inner corner is just your lashes so 1- they look way more natural and 2- you don’t get that stabbing I spoke about.
These are my go to lashes if I am going out-out or to a nice dinner where I want to make an extra special effort. They are so comfy to wear and look really natural. Fleur you genius.
PRIMER - BECCA BACK LIGHT PRIMER
I have just purchased my third bottle of this so I think it is pretty fair to say this product definitely makes it onto my best of beauty 2016. If you haven't come across this product before I want it to change your life like it did mine (ok woah that was deep). If you aspire for that dewy Victoria Secret look then this is the perfect primer for you. It sits beautifully under your makeup and will give you a natural healthy glow, without looking like you’ve piled on 2 tonnes of highlighter.
TOP TIP: Half a pump is plenty, this product goes so far. Apply the product to your face using your fingertips, avoiding your eyelids. I found this product dried out my eyes.
BLUSHER -LANCOME CUSHION BLUSH
So before finding this beauty I had never used a cushion product before - so I was sceptical. However, I was so pleasantly surprised. The look and feel of this product on your skin is the dream. If like me you like a subtle neutral dewy look then I can't recommend this product enough. It is so easy to apply and makes such an impact on your cheeks. There are a number of colour options available so you can ensure you find a shade that fits your skin type.
TOP TIP: Within the packaging of this product comes a sponge which you are supposed to use to apply the blusher. However, I found this picked up too much product and a little goes a long way with these blushers as they are highly pigmented. So I suggest buying a flat brush which you can use to work the product into your cheeks. This means you can blend the product without removing half of your foundation (this is what the sponge did for me).
CONCEALER- URBAN DECAY NAKED SKIN CONCEALER
The perfect under eye concealer, It just has an ideal texture. It is not drying nor cakey and really brightens up your under eye area. I have this product in shade light warm, and it makes an ideal under eye highlighter when I am looking not so fresh in the morning with my bags under my eyes. I love it.
TOP TIP: I recommend setting this concealer with a translucent setting powder this will help it avoid sitting in fine lines and stay put for the rest of the day. I use the RCMA face powder.
